Triton Softball Field - San Diego, Ca
Triton Softball Field is a beautiful softball ballpark tucked into the southwest corner of the North Campus Recreation Area (NCRA) just below the Hops & Salt Restaurant on the western edge of the UC San Diego (UCSD) campus. Located in the community of La Jolla, UCSD is an ideal San Diego sports complex.
The placement of Triton Softball Field exemplifies creative space utilization and is consistent with the multipurpose nature of all of the UCSD sports facilities. Because of the central design within the North Campus Recreation Area and the shared use capabilities of the space, the Triton Softball Field benefits from tremendous infrastructure to support softball game play. This includes direct access to locker rooms, training rooms, meeting space, batting tunnels and a dedicated press box. The access to RIMAC Field also provides great opportunity for warm up and practice space during tournament play. One of the really unique features of the Triton Softball Field is its relationship to the RIMAC Annex. The Annex is located just above the seating bowl and is home to a Peet’s Coffee & Tea as well as Hops & Salt Restaurant, which means Triton Softball Field is one of the few collegiate softball facilities that attendees can enjoy gourmet dining and a beer list of 20 craft brews. This is a great championship and showcase softball facility. In combination with the RIMAC Annex, the Triton Softball Field is also a great venue for adult league softball, kickball or corporate and team building activity. UCSD is centrally located in La Jolla making it easily accessible to all of San Diego county.
