The Jack Rose Track at Long Beach State University is essentially a brand new facility after undergoing a multi- million dollar renovation, completed in Spring, 2015. The world class facility offers state-of-the-art competition areas that feature a 9-lane track that is NCAA, USATF and IAAF certified. The facility is one of the only IAAF Class certified track and field complexes in the United States. These certifications qualify the Jack Rose Track Stadium for national and international competition- an accomplishment necessary to become that destination track town the University envisioned. Beyond world- class track competition, the Jack Rose Track Stadium provides a great small, stadium experience. With 5,000 seats, the Jack Rose Track Stadium is a perfect host for the Special Olympics Southern California Summer Games Opening Ceremonies. The stadium has also previously played host to functional fitness competition (Crossfit), celebrity youth football camps and participant driven fundraiser events like the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
